In almost every case of acne overproduction of the sebaceous glands is present. These carry the pigment Porphyrin. The reaction of light energy and porphyrin releases chemical substances that destroy the skin's own Propioni bacteria, or at least greatly reduce it. This bacterium is responsible for the spread of acne. The symptoms of acne begin to decline and the appearance of the skin improves dramatically.

For best possible results of this treatment it is advised to dispose of any make up , brushes and skincare or products that are currently being used on the area of concern. We also advise washing all bedding and flannels etc. after each treatment to prevent cross contamination.
